| A preliminary study of ionic liquid solvent for the extraction of uranyl ion |
Preliminary studies about using imidazole ionic liquid 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C8mim] [PF6]), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C4mim] [ PF6]), and quaternary ammonium ionic liquids trioctyl methyl ammonium chloride ([N8881] [Cl]) as diluent, TBP as extracting agent, extraction of uranyl ions from nitric acid medium are done. The results show that the distribution ratio of the extraction of uranium increases as the initial concentration of nitric acid in the aqueous phase increases, quaternary ammonium ionic liquid is slightly better than the imidazole ionic liquids, but worse than the control diluent isooctane .The stripping conditions of guanidine carbonate as the stripping agent is studied . Guanidine carbonate under the experimental conditions can strip the uranyl ion from three kinds of ionic liquid extraction systems quantitatively to solve the re-extraction in ionic liquid extraction of uranyl ion and the circulation usage of ionic liquids.
